Sir Okon Okon is a seasoned Banker, and has worked in various financial institutions with over 25 years of work experience in Banking. He holds a BSc in degree in Economics from the University of Uyo and also a Masters (MSc) degree in Economics as well as an MBA both from the University of Lagos. He was a General Manager at Wema Bank Plc until his appointment as the Executive Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Internal Revenue Service (AKIRS).
